Brown Box Television Network presents the Correspondent and Leadership Program (BBCLP) and The Quad Spot. It is a first step into the world of broadcast journalism and reporting for students at minority-serving colleges and universities. Our goal at Brown Box Television is to identify and guide our next generation of journalists toward a successful career in a field where minorities are underrepresented, and the richness of communities of color go under reported.
BBCLP will run in the fall, spring, and summer semesters of the academic school year. We are seeking highly motivated, passionate, and creative students in their sophomore, junior or senior year pursuing degrees in Communications, Broadcasting, or Journalism. Participants receive hands-on experience in filming, researching, and reporting and participate in quarterly seminars with industry journalists as an internship.
The two students selected will represent your institution as on-location correspondents responsible for developing content and reporting on topics such as campus organizations and social life, campus culture and trends, health and wellness, and political views from their perspective.
